Unauthorized data access at CEU-Hours.com

The following information is intended for CEU-Hours.com user and customers prior to January 2011.

During the month of December 2010 it came to the attention of the operators of CEU-Hours.com that there had been unauthorized access to our servers by an unknown individual/s. As a result of this access, CEU-Hours.com made the decision to close the website to public access until such a time as the site could be redesigned for the safety of our users.

It appears that unauthorized access may have included access to customer names, email address, courses purchased and amount of purchase, mailing address and state of licensure, type of health care license held and/or license number (to the extent that this information was provided to CEU-Hours.com).

There is no indication that payment data was compromised since CEU-Hours.com utilized PayPal as a third party payment processor and no payment data was collected by, or in the possession of, CEU-Hours.com.

CEU-Hours.com made the decision to completely shut down and redesign the website with a new third party designer and utilize fully managed hosting environment that is closely monitored for security by the host manager.

There have been instances of some former customers receiving unauthorized email messages that appeared to be from CEU-Hours.com making requests regarding payment for previously completed courses.

If you receive any suspicious communications that appear to be from us, please do not reply or respond or under any circumstances provide any payment information, but instead please contact CEU-Hours.com by phone at 817-494-2006 or through the contact form on the website and advise us of the contact so we may take further action in our investigations into the incident.
